While Democratic presidential candidate former Vice President Joe Biden continues to hold a significant and relatively stable lead in the polls, President Trump and his people are looking for a new strategy that will lead them to election victory, in less than two months.

The Associated Press reported last night that the Trump campaign intends to invest a lot of resources in the western United States, in countries that are traditionally considered a clear democratic stronghold. For example, the president plans to focus on Nevada, a country that has not supported a Republican presidential candidate since the 2004 election. The New York Times published yesterday found that Trump lags behind Biden by 4 percent in Nevada, the difference that is within the range of the sample error.

The president was expected to hold campaign events in the country yesterday and today, to escalate clashes with local authorities who sought to ban gatherings so as not to risk contracting corona.

The Republican campaign has been happy about the battle, perceiving it as emphasizing the narrative they want to lead - the president's insistence that the US is on its way out of the corona crisis, while Democrats support continuing to fight the epidemic at the expense of the economy. In the 2016 election and now he is lagging behind in the polls, and will also come to California to get a briefing on the historic forest fires raging there.

Trump, who lost Nevada to Hillary Clinton by only a 2.5 percent margin in 2016, is investing heavily in campaign money in the country ahead of the 2020 election, while Democrats rely mostly on virtual campaigns and local committee support.

"Democrats are scared, they know the president is gaining momentum," said the country's Republican leader Michael McDonald.

But despite the confidence shown by Republicans, recent polls do not exactly indicate momentum for the president.

A new poll released over the weekend found that Biden is actually increasing his advantage over Trump.

In the Yahoo News poll, the Democratic candidate leads the incumbent by 10 percent, with 49 percent versus 39. This is a significant increase in support for Biden, which in the Yahoo poll two weeks ago led by only 6 percent.

By the way, Biden, the Democratic candidate, on Thursday addressed a policy toward Iran, arguing that Tehran is closer to nuclear weapons today than it was during the Obama administration.

In a conversation with supporters of the liberal Jewish lobby J Street, the former vice president criticized Trump's decision to withdraw from the nuclear deal, saying he would consider returning to the negotiating table with the Iranians, although he admitted it would not be easy.

Meanwhile, the social network Twitter, which is so beloved by President Trump, announced on Thursday a new policy, according to which posts announcing victory in the elections before the final results are published will be marked as false or down.
