Since the beginning of August, the footpath and cycle path along the S-Bahn line from Unterhaching to Taufkirchen, which is important for schoolchildren, has been interrupted by a barrier for a construction site.
This annoys some parents.
But a solution is in sight.

- A section of the cycle and footpath that runs east of the railway line and connects the communities of Unterhaching and Taufkirchen is to be closed until September 2021.
This has now called on parents whose children use the bike and footpath to get to school.
"There have been complaints from parents," says the Unterhachingen town hall spokesman Simon Hötzl.
First and foremost, parents from Taufkirchen, whose children are on the way to Unterhachinger Gymnasium, have spoken out.
The road that goes to the Postweg is also blocked right at the Lise-Meitner-Gymnasium.
The area can no longer be used for months due to the upcoming renovation of the school gym.
The students who have to go to the grammar school from Taufkirchen, as well as the children from Unterhaching who attend the secondary school in Taufkirchen, have to accept detours.
The official diversion leads to the western side of the railway line.
There is also a footpath and bike path right on Grünwalder Weg that leads from Unterhaching over the industrial park to Taufkirchen.
But the short diversion piece is much more dangerous in the parents' opinion.
On the one hand, because the children have to drive to the industrial park right next to the busy road.
On the other hand, because between Unterhaching and Taufkirchen only an underpass connects the two footpaths and cycle paths.
It leads exactly in a depression to the diversion route west of the railway line.
Those who come out of the tunnel and onto the footpath and bike path have poor visibility and have to expect cyclists who are traveling at high speed.
The only other sensible alternative route is via the Postweg and the main road - but many students will probably not take this longer detour.
But a solution is in sight: in order to equalize the traffic around the gymnasium and the sports arena on Utzweg, the municipal administration had already proposed to the local council in spring to build a path that connects the parking lot at the sports arena and the Postweg.
The project was put on hold but approved by the Vacation Committee in August.
According to Hötzl, a pure footpath and bike path should be built as quickly as possible, which the students can then use as a diversion.
The town hall spokesman cannot give an exact time for the construction.
Because first it still needs a permit from the State Office for Monument Protection.
A species protection permit is also required for the path connection, according to Hötzl: "Because a part of a hedge worth protecting must be removed at the parking lot."
