Tartous-Sana
Members of the Tartous Fire Brigade extinguished five fires that broke out today in several areas in the city's neighborhoods and nearby villages.
Colonel Samir Shamma, commander of the governorate's fire brigade, told SANA that the fires today were simple and limited in area, and the fire brigade members worked to extinguish them quickly and did not have any material or human damage, adding that two fires broke out in olive lands in the villages of Al-Barghliya and Al-Jouba, and a tree fire broke out near a resort Al-Houldi Beach, north of the city, in addition to a garbage fire in the industrial area and a fire in a house in the Al-Areed neighborhood near the school of the martyr Fatima Al-Ali, caused by a failure in the installation of a gas cylinder.
Shamma stressed that the cooperation of citizens and the direct reporting of those fires contributed to extinguishing them in a short time due to the readiness of the firefighters and the speed to go to the places of those fires to put them out.
