Otto Kernberg has been dealing with the depths of the human psyche for more than 60 years.
The doctor and psychoanalyst developed diagnoses and therapies for disorders that were previously considered untreatable.

Last night he was stuck in his car for hours.
Somewhere in rural New York State he had a blown tire, and Kernberg didn't come home to his Manhattan apartment until around four in the morning.

Kernberg has been working from home since the New York lockdown began.
Behind him are bookshelves, potted plants, he's wearing a suit.
Kernberg says: "Sorry, such a fuss. But now I'm here."
