The Paris prosecutor's office on Monday opened an investigation for "
sexual assault
" targeting deputy mayor of Paris Pierre Aidenbaum after a report from the City to justice, AFP learned from the prosecution.

Deputy in charge of the Seine, Mr. Aidenbaum is targeted by accusations of sexual harassment brought by an employee. In a statement to AFP sent by his lawyers, Mr. Aidenbaum affirms "
with force that this relationship was strictly nothing criminal
" and asks to be heard "
as quickly as possible to demonstrate his innocence
."
