The symposium held by the Damascus branch of the Arab Writers Union dealt with some poetic characteristics in the complete poetic works of the poet, a heavenly prince, with the participation of a number of poets and critics.

The critic Ahmed Ali Muhammad said in his intervention: “The poetic works of the poet Samawi were written in various stages of his life and vary between metaphor and prose. Poetic and replace it with various sounds.

In his testimony, the poet Ali Al-Dandah believed that reading the poems of the poet Samawi is a spiritual pleasure that represents a positive phenomenon, spiritual manifestations and artistic, psychological and linguistic connotations that can be interpreted, pointing out that Samawi does not grant absolute heroism to one person, but rather presents different poetic varieties bearing high artistic.

In turn, the poet, a heavenly prince, delivered a number of his texts, trying to present to the recipient a comparison between his text and the impressions he presented at the symposium.

At the same time, the critic Dr. Ghassan Ghoneim explained that Samawi in most of his texts approximates surrealist schools and that his texts need a keen reader to understand his various poetic forms, explaining that Samawi, with his weighted texts, often adheres to specific moving actions.

As for the poet, Support for Ibrahim, she expressed in her testimony the existence of a conscious poetics in heavenly texts in addition to great sadness in various forms.

A number of critics and poets made impressionistic and critical interventions that varied in opinion and proposition.

In a statement to SANA, Dr. Muhammad al-Hourani, head of the Damascus branch of the Writers Union, said that the symposium attracted a number of writers and critics who have an important presence in the cultural arena, which reflects the interaction of the Union branch with its cultural environment and the presence of the poet Samawi in terms of attendance with those interested in poetry in writing and criticism.

The symposium was attended by the President of the Arab Writers Union, Malek Suqour, and members of the Executive Office.
