The Greek coast guard rescued 30 migrants on Monday, September 14 from a shipwreck off the eastern coast of Crete and continued their research, according to port authorities.
A passenger from the stranded boat called the emergency number for help.

The immediate rescue operation helped locate the migrant boat which sank 12 nautical miles east of Crete by winds of 7 Beaufort.
Thirty people were taken out of the water alive but the search continued after dark, as authorities did not know the exact number of people initially on the boat.
