A man would have drowned in the Seine in the night from Sunday to Monday in Bougival (Yvelines), after a chase with the police, reports

According to the daily, police officers from the Anti-Crime Brigade (BAC) observed the theft of two-wheelers in a van on Sunday evening.
A police patrol then chased the van, which finally came to a stop after a few minutes.

Its driver would have gone out and then jumped into the Seine, feeling
"trapped"
on the Ile de la Loge, between Le Port-Marly, Louveciennes and Bougival, according to

An investigation "

" was opened and entrusted to the General Inspectorate of the National Police.
