The long-awaited and dreaded Alpine jousting are on the menu for this third and final week of this so unique but always fascinating Tour de France.

On this Tuesday, September 15, a tricky stage made for agile climbers, evidenced by the arrival at 1152 m altitude at the end of a 2.2 km climb (cat. 3) near Villard-de -Lans.

Skimming may take place about thirty kilometers before the finish with the ascent of the Montée de Saint-Nizier-du-Moucherotte, 11.1 km long and listed in category 1. Before, two difficulties of category 2 and one of category 4 from the tenth kilometer but nothing that should scare the peloton after a day of rest.
