Against the background of the historic ceremony in Washington, where the peace agreement between Israel, the United Arab Emirates and Bahrain was signed, most moderate Arab countries welcomed the historic agreement or at least did not condemn and encourage opponents of normalization to go to mass demonstrations.

This is in contrast to what was customary in the past, for example during the peace agreements signed with Egypt and Jordan.

However, in Ramallah and Gaza, the rulers of the United Arab Emirates and Bahrain continue to attack the signing of agreements with Israel, which Abu Mazen and senior members of the Palestinian leadership called "shameful" and "stabbing the Palestinian people in the back."

However, despite the official Palestinian position that the tripartite and historic agreement will in fact be another critical step in crushing the vision of the two states and the Palestinian demand for an independent state within the 67 borders of East Jerusalem, "Israel Today" has been reported by senior Arab officials and officials in Ramallah. There is tremendous pressure from Arab and international actors to present a softer position, and to prepare for the possibility that the political process between Israel and the Palestinian Authority has emerged from the stalemate in which it finds itself.

According to senior Arab diplomats and officials in Ramallah who confirmed the details, it is not for nothing that President Trump and the foreign ministers of the UAE and Bahrain emphasized in their speeches at a ceremony in Washington and briefings given to journalists that the Palestinian issue is not absent from the agreements with Israel.

A senior official in the emissary to Washington told Israel Today;

"Abu Mazen is beginning to realize that if he continues to persist in his refusal, he will only harm the Palestinian national interest.

The peace train has left and can no longer be stopped.

The Palestinian leadership can and should make an informed decision whether to join a historic process like Bahrain and other countries that will join later, or repeat the mistakes of the past as Arafat did who preferred to support Saddam Hussein in the Gulf War in 1991 and thus severely damaged relations between Palestinians and Arab principalities.

A senior Ramallah official told Israel Today that the enormous pressure exerted on Abu Mazen as well as the incessant messages recently conveyed to him by senior officials in Saudi Arabia, Egypt, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain and other Arab countries did not fall on deaf ears and Abu Mazen signed a presidential decree a few days ago A special ban on insulting the royal houses and institutions and authorities in Abu Dhabi and Manama and even ordered Palestinian officials to stop the personal attacks.
