Ottawa - Sana
Canadian Health Minister Patty Hajdu announced that her country does not rule out imposing a new general isolation if the need arises, amid the high number of new cases of the emerging coronavirus.
Reuters quoted Hajdu as saying in a statement today, "We see the numbers rising, but imposing a complete economic general isolation will be very difficult for the country, and we do not rule it out because we will protect the health of Canadians and we will do whatever it takes," stressing that her country's government is ready to confront the virus much more than it was before. During the first wave of the epidemic.
Hajdu’s comments come after her pledge last night to take a decisive stance to confront the outbreak of the Coronavirus.
And Canada recorded in yesterday's statistics 1,351 new injuries, the highest daily toll since the first of this month, with the reopening of schools and the increase in injuries associated with large gatherings.
