The Copa Libertadores returns this Tuesday after more than six months of inactivity, caused by the threat of the coronavirus in South American countries.
It will be a return without an audience in the stadiums and with preventive measures against covid-19.
According to a statement from Conmebol, the governing body of South American soccer «contributed more than US $ 95 million to the participants of the Conmebol Libertadores and Conmebol Sudamericana, helping to mitigate the impact of the pandemic and partially financing the PCR testing of the members of the delegations of all the participating teams and partly paying for the charter flights to travel between cities and countries.
