Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis called on the European Union today to take a “unified and solidarity” with his country regarding the file of provocations by the Turkish regime in the eastern Mediterranean region.
Reuters quoted Mitsotakis as saying after talks in Athens with the President of the European Council Charles Michel: "It is time for Europe's support to turn from words to actions and to translate these actions into concrete solidarity."
Mitsotakis added that his country is ready to conduct negotiations with the Turkish regime over the maritime areas in the eastern Mediterranean region, provided that the latter ends his "provocations in the region."
The Turkish regime continues its provocations against neighboring countries in pursuit of its plans and ambitions, which is met with international condemnation, as seven member states of the European Union overlooking the Mediterranean announced in a recent joint statement their readiness to support the imposition of sanctions against Turkey at the end of this month if it did not stop its provocations against Greece and Cyprus. .
Today, the European Union called on the Turkish regime to stop its unilateral provocations and actions in the eastern Mediterranean.
