In contrast to Israel, the Palestinian Authority is angry with the United Arab Emirates and Bahrain: "Peace will never be achieved without the end of the occupation" • "Black day in Palestinian history"

Israel today (Tuesday) celebrated the signing of historic peace agreements with the United Arab Emirates and Bahrain, but Palestinian organizations accepted the event with insult and outrage.

"This is not peace for peace, but surrender for continued aggression," the Palestinian Authority said in an official statement after the signing of the agreements.

"There is no peace except in the liberation of Palestine. This is a historic day in the opposite direction that opposes the process of liberation, justice and human rights. This is a violation of international law and a violation of the Arab Peace Initiative and of Arab solidarity."

The PA's chairman, Abu Mazen, also responded officially by saying that "we will not give anyone the mandate to speak on behalf of the Palestinian people and the PLO. Peace or stability will never be achieved in the region without the end of occupation and Palestinian rights."

Abu Mazen's remarks were made against the background of demonstrations held in Ramallah against the agreements.

The participants carried posters that read: "Normalization is a knife in the back of Jerusalem and Palestine."

Hamas spokesman Hazem Qassem also joined the harsh words against the agreements, saying that "the normalization agreements between the United Arab Emirates and Bahrain and Israel are not worth the ink spilled on them. Our people insist on a struggle until his rights are restored. We will treat these agreements as if they did not exist."

The Popular Front terrorist organization said in response to the agreements that "the official announcement of normalization of relations is a black day in the history of the Palestinians and the Arab nation, not to the United Arab Emirates regimes and the traitorous Bahrain."

The secretary general of the Islamic Jihad, Ziad Nahala, told the Al-Quds newspaper yesterday that the peace agreements constitute "breaking the ranks of the Arabs.

The ideas of peace and coexistence with the Zionist enterprise were based on illusion and not on reality. "

Nahala added that "the Arab haste to normalize with Israel indicates a collapse of Arab rule and a degree of weakness and humiliation vis-à-vis the United States. The delusional peace with the Zionist enterprise will not lead its members to speak but to more humiliation and more weakness."
