The World Zionist Organization announced today (Tuesday) that it will hold the Zionist Congress virtually.
The conference, which will take place from October 20, will be attended by 740 delegates from 30 countries around the world.
The theme of the event is "Mutual Guarantee and Aliyah to Israel", during which elections will be held for the heads of the national institutions - the JNF, the Keren Hayesod and the World Zionist Organization.
The discussions will deal with issues on the agenda in the Jewish world, such as the impact of the Corona crisis on the Jewish communities around the world, preparations for a wave of immigration following the global crisis, dealing with growing anti-Semitism, the development of settlement in Israel and more.
The World Zionist Congress, which has been held since 1897, is a public gathering of representatives of Zionist Jews from various countries. This is the highest institution in terms of legislation and decision-making of the World Zionist Organization. Its members are elected representatives from the Zionist federations in the world, elected by a key of various parties, movements and organizations.
