The airport police set off for a courier service with flashing lights.

After a package was x-rayed, there was a suspicion of a risk of explosion.

In the end, it was the price of the women's shoes that was particularly tough.

Airport

- An "explosive suspect object" in a shoe was on a major mission at the airport shortly before 9 p.m. on Tuesday.

Several police cars from the Munich Airport inspection department flashed blue lights in the direction of the cargo area.

The police had previously been informed by a global parcel and logistics service that something suspicious had been discovered while the parcel was being scanned.

According to the police, the employees present immediately stopped work and left the building as quickly as possible.

While the deployed police officers cordoned off the area over a large area, specialists from the federal police arrived to defuse the supposed explosive device.

When checking the package with special devices from the outside, the experts were able to give the all-clear.

The police finally gained certainty when the box was opened and there was no explosive device in the shoes.

On the contrary: The luxury brand shoes worth around 1900 euros were supposed to be brought to London and were interspersed with metal supports that set off the alarm.

The police were able to clear the "crime scene" again at around 9:35 pm.
