A 15-year-old was taken into police custody on Wednesday September 16 after entering with a hunting rifle, which turned out to be unloaded, in a vocational high school in Saint-Médard-en-Jalles, near Bordeaux, has learned AFP from the gendarmerie.

This minor, arrived on a scooter, entered around 12:30 p.m. in the Jehan Duperier high school, in which he does not attend school.
He threatened students in the courtyard and quickly came out without having used his weapon, according to the Gironde gendarmerie.
There were no injuries.
The young man, "
unfavorably known
" to the police, was arrested a few hundred meters from the establishment and the gendarmes then found that the weapon was not loaded.
In a video posted on social media and portrayed as that of the incident, a young man dressed in black and helmeted in white is seen holding a gun and walking briskly through the schoolyard on his way to a building .
His presence triggers a wave of panic in some students, others seem to try to communicate with him.
According to the gendarmerie, a vehicle in which this minor was in had a material accident in front of the school the same morning.
The investigation will have to determine in particular why the teenager returned with this weapon at midday.
