After Édouard Philippe, Agnès Buzyn and Olivier Véran, it is the turn of the new Prime Minister, Jean Castex, to be the target of a complaint for his management of the epidemic.
This will be, according to
Le Parisien
, filed this Thursday by the association "Victims Coronavirus France" before the Court of Justice of the Republic (CJR), the only body capable of judging members of the government.
The lawyer, Me Fabrice Di Vizio, took charge of the initiative.
He had already been at the origin of certain complaints against Philippe, Buzyn and Véran.
Only nine valid complaints out of 90
The lawyer invokes against Jean Castex article 223-7 of the Penal Code which calls into question
“the voluntary abstention to take or to provoke the measures allowing to fight a disaster likely to create a danger for the safety of the people”
.
"The Prime Minister holds an alarmist speech, but takes minimalist measures, or so stupid"
, estimates it.
It remains to be seen whether his complaint will be deemed admissible by the Court of Justice of the Republic.
Of the 90 complaints received by the CJR since the start of the epidemic, only nine have been accepted.
Judicial information on the ministerial management of the crisis was immediately opened on July 7 against Édouard Philippe, Olivier Véran and Agnès Buzyn.
