Hurricane Sally made landfall Wednesday morning, exactly 16 years after the day Hurricane Ivan made landfall in 2004. At the same point on Alabama's Gulf Coast.

Strong winds and torrential rains hit the Alabama Gulf Coast and the Florida peninsula.

The Category 2 hurricane degraded to a tropical depression upon landfall.

But she still managed to wreak havoc, knocking down power lines and turning streets into rivers that swallowed houses.

The slow storm dumped four months of rain in parts of Florida in just four hours.
