The government this evening (Thursday) approved by telephone vote the extension of the permitted distance to leave the house during the closure from 500 meters per kilometer.
This, after Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and the ministers agreed to the request of the Knesset's Constitution Committee to increase the allowable range.
The other regulations submitted to the Constitution Committee were adopted without changes, and therefore did not require government approval.
Netanyahu said earlier at a press conference that he would not hesitate to tighten restrictions as needed.
