Unlike Trump, Biden acknowledged, "Sure, I benefited just because I didn't have to go through what my black brothers and sisters have had to go through."

(CNN Spanish) -

In one of his interviews with journalist Bob Woodward, President Donald Trump was asked if he believed he had benefited from "white privilege."

Trump said no, and mocked Woodward for even suggesting it.

Biden received the same question Thursday night.

Her answer: yes.

"Sure, I benefited just because I didn't have to go through what my black brothers and sisters have gone through," Biden said.

However, Biden made no further progress on the issue and re-framed the choice between him and Trump as one that was fundamentally class-centered.

"Growing up here in Scranton, we are used to being looked down upon by kids," Biden said.

“We are (used) to people looking at us and thinking 'dumber', looking at us and thinking that no, we are not equivalent to them.

If you didn't have a college degree, you must be stupid.

The former vice president, who served as a senator from Delaware for decades before that, highlighted news coverage saying he would be the first person without an Ivy League college degree elected president.

In fact, Biden and Harris are the first Democratic formula since 1984 without any Ivy League graduates.

Biden attended the University of Delaware, before entering Syracuse University School of Law.

Harris went to Howard University before returning west to the University of California Hastings College of the Law.

"We're just as good as everyone else," Biden said of himself and others in Scranton.

And guys like Trump, who inherit everything and squander what they inherited, are the people I've always had problems with.

Not the people who are breaking their necks.
