New Year's Atmosphere in the Emirates: A festive holiday dinner at a central hotel in Dubai, attended by over a hundred participants was held tonight (Friday) in the UAE.

A parallel meal was also held in Abu Dhabi, the UAE’s second largest city in the country, in the presence of about 50 participants, along with the Yemeni community in Abu Dhabi.

The organizers told before the holiday began about a special feeling of satisfaction at the arrival of the holiday near the signing of the normalization agreements.

Among other things, a feeling that the locals "transmit a particularly smiling atmosphere and help us at every opportunity and of course that a Jew can blow the shofar on the occasion of the year ahead," said a community activist.

The cooks at the hotel in Dubai worked on a kosher meal for the guests. Earlier, a shofar was blown against the backdrop of the Dubai Marina and the city's skyscrapers in the presence of the Chief Rabbi of the United Arab Emirates, Rabbi Yehuda Sarna.

Rabbi Levy Duchman, Chabad emissary and rabbi of the Jewish community in Dubai, told Israel Today: "We are very happy and thankful for the state's concern for the Jewish community and with the help of the name we will celebrate Rosh Hashanah and have a good and sweet year for all of us."
