place recently in the Russian province of
Dagestan
.

When a woman was taking a nap in her garden in the village of Levashi, the approximately 1.20 meter long
reptile
is said to have
crawled into her mouth - unnoticed by the sleeper.
After the woman felt uncomfortable afterwards, she was taken to the
hospital
, where,
to the great astonishment
, the
doctors
all removed the animal.
Horror video from Russia: Local people report similar cases
It is not known how long the
animal
was inside the
woman
and whether the
snake
survived the medical intervention.
Local knowledge would already has reported s of similar cases in which
snakes
through the mouth and
throat
have crawled inside of people while they were sleeping.
Older people would therefore generally advise against sleeping outdoors.
In July there was also a strange accident with a snake in the Austrian state of Styria.
Commentators who responded to the video noted that the supposed
snake could
also be a worm or a parasite.
With a length of well over a meter, these would be very considerable.
The
Dagestan
Ministry
of
Health
has not commented on the incident.
