Some taxpayers will have the good surprise of receiving their council tax relief notice in a few days.
Nearly 80% of taxable households no longer pay this tax as of this year.
But for the remaining 20% - the 6 million richest households - this puncture remains, even if it is also doomed to disappear.

The taxpayers concerned - over 44,124 € per year for a couple without children - will pay the full amount of this tax in 2021, then 65% of its value in 2022. They will no longer pay anything in 2023. Please note, the taxpayers of the real estate wealth tax (IFI) will pay the full tax until 2022. They will be fully exempt in 2023. Only main residences are concerned.
Small consolation, the housing tax will not increase this year.
