After Supreme Court Justice Bader Ginsburg dies, President Trump pushes for immediate appointment while Republicans want to wait after November's election
President Donald Trump said today (Saturday) that he has an "obligation" to appoint "without delay" a Supreme Court justice in place of Judge Ruth Bader Ginsburg, who passed away last night.

Ginsburg-Baider, who died at the age of 87, was considered a symbol in the United States.
Democrats are demanding the Senate elect a replacement only after the early November election.
Trump's predecessor, former President Barack Obama, also called for a wait until after the election.
. @ GOP We were put in this position of power and importance to make decisions for the people who so proudly elected us, the most important of which has long been considered to be the selection of United States Supreme Court Justices.
We have this obligation, without delay!

In a Twitter account tweeted to Republicans, Trump wrote: "We have been placed in a position of power and influence in order to make decisions for our constituents, the most important of which was the election of judges to the Supreme Court. We have that commitment, without any delay."
Senate Republican Majority Leader Mitch McConnell claimed that "Trump's candidate will win a majority in the Senate."
