U.S. Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg passed away last night (Friday) after a long battle with cancer.

Ginsburg, elected to the post by Bill Clinton in 1993, was the second woman to fill the high-ranking post, and the only Jew in the post ever, and was considered a firm liberal voice in court, not afraid to criticize opponents from right and left.

With a tiny stature and a lively temperament, Ginzburg has gained a status of honor among both conservatives and liberals and is known as the "infamous RBG."

Ginsburg is known for rulings on a variety of issues related to women's equality such as abortion, discrimination against women in the military and minority rights such as blacks and the gay community.

Ginsburg was still in her life the subject of films, plays and even gray gray that was uploaded in 2016 describing her relationship with conservative judge Anthony Scalia and the affection and friendship between the two judges with different worldviews.

Despite being liberal and feminist, Ginsburg believed that the Supreme Court should be careful and measured in its rulings and not force far-reaching changes to a single ruling.

Judge Ginsburg insisted on not resigning from her post despite various pressures and argued in 2010 that her work as a judge provided her with a place of mourning for her husband who died that year.

Ginsburg refused to resign even after she fell ill, in order not to allow President Trump to strengthen the Conservative majority in the Supreme Court.

Now, with her passing, the president will be able to appoint a judge to his liking.

Trump announced last week that he was already prepared to elect a new Supreme Court justice.
