Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif confirmed that UN Security Council Resolution 2231 does not authorize the United States to impose the arms embargo and sanctions on Iran.

And the Iranian Foreign Minister warned against any American attempt to inspect Iranian ships, explaining that such attempts amount to maritime piracy and there will inevitably be a reaction to it.
