The Russian President's Special Envoy for Middle East and African Affairs, Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov expressed Moscow's satisfaction with the cessation of hostilities in Libya, stressing the need for this to contribute to launching a dialogue between the Libyan parties to ensure the unity and safety of the country.
In an interview with the Russian Interfax agency today, Bogdanov indicated that the cessation of hostilities agreement should be confirmed in order to create conditions conducive to building a comprehensive and stable political dialogue between the Libyan parties.
He pointed out the need for this dialogue to include discussion of the future state systems in Libya based on the main goal, which is to ensure its unity and territorial integrity, in parallel with solving economic problems so that the national wealth, oil, investments and all the country's resources are used for the benefit of the Libyan people as a whole.
