Hasaka-Sana
The quantities of cotton produced in Al-Hasakah governorate to date reached 1250 tons, out of the total area harvested at the beginning of last week, which amounted to 350 hectares.
The Director of the Plant Production Department in the Agriculture Directorate, Engineer Jalal Bilal, stated in a statement to SANA's correspondent that the cotton harvesting operations expanded to include various cultivated areas, which are approximately 3,500 hectares, in light of the increasing production of the crop successively, indicating that the requirements for harvesting the crop are available to farmers, especially packing bags.
According to the Plant Production Department, the expected quantities of cotton for the current season are approximately 15,000 tons.
