Ganz also instructed the defense establishment to begin work on a strategy to exit the quarantine, as well as to prepare for further reinforcement of the police forces in the event of a continuation or expansion of the quarantine.

Meanwhile, the IDF announced today (Monday) the establishment of the "Ella" unit for epidemiological investigations. The unit's mission is to expand the investigation system, which operates under the Home Front Command's "Alon" mission headquarters. The decision was approved by Defense Minister Bnei Gantz and Chief of Staff Major General Aviv Kochavi - this against the background of staff work, led by Deputy Chief of Staff Major General Eyal Zamir and Home Front Command Commander Major General Uri Gordin.

For the benefit of the unit's activities, about 600 regular soldiers will be removed from their positions, in addition to dozens of reservists.

These will join hundreds of researchers who will be added in the coming weeks in local authorities.

As you may recall, the government assigned the IDF about two months ago to be the body that will operate the system of amputation of the contagion chains, the army undertook to carry out the task quickly, but encountered many difficulties that caused very long delays, both in the construction system and the investigation system.

The Ministry of Health and the IDF also claimed that the system is already operating at a double and triple rate than before, and that by the deadline set for the end of October, it will be ready on an even larger scale. According to Home Front Command estimates, the daily number will reach 80,000. Per 100,000.

In addition, following the thickening of the epidemiological investigation system in the last two months, the Ministry of Health is currently employing about 900 investigators.

According to a senior official in the Ministry of Health, this array is currently being investigated in about 60 percent of cases.

According to the survey presented by the IDF, when the closure ends in mid-October, the investigation system will number between 1,700 and 2,200 investigators, according to the plan.

The epidemiological investigation system has in recent days begun to use a new computer system, "Even Yesod", developed in the Mitzpan unit in the ICT Division - as reported yesterday in "Israel Today". The unit's commander, Colonel Chen Golani: "The goal was to develop a simple and advanced system with Health Care System.

The process of epidemiological investigations with the previous system was long and tedious.

"People abandoned the process because it was ineffective."

In addition, the Ministry of Health is currently developing a computerized epidemiological investigation system to be completed by citizens that will further facilitate the work of epidemiological researchers, as the electronic form to be filled out by citizens will reach researchers directly - and they will only be required to complete.

"We are supposed to get out of this quarantine with the two systems - our system and also a system for self-fulfillment," Colonel Golani clarified, but clarified that it is not suitable for all types of populations, especially not those who do not use the Internet. , Noted.
