"Islamist separatism"
, denounced as an
"enemy"
.
Both words were important.
"Separatism"
was to validate a word stronger than
"communitarianism"
which can be applied to any community.
The adjective
"Islamist" made it
possible to identify
"the enemy"
rather than sticking to an abstract concept.
Concern for political balance
This turning point had been greeted by an opinion which had not waited to identify the source of the threat to the Republic.
In his general policy speech, Jean Castex broadened the field of
“enemies”
by listing
“terrorists, extremists, conspirators, separatists, communitarians”
.
