PORTRAIT - The world champion in coastal rescue crossed the Atlantic on a paddle board in 2009. This survivor supervises the surveillance of the Landes beaches.

The summer has been hot for the rescuers in the Landes sea, and not only because of the overwhelming heat!

No less than 350,000 people frequented the beaches they watch every day, between Tarnos in the south and Biscarrosse in the north.
