Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif reiterated that the United States' continued violation of international laws is a source of concern for the international community.
This came in a speech he made via video conference during a meeting of the American Institute for Foreign Relations Studies today, according to the Iranian news agency "IRNA".
Regarding the new unilateral sanctions imposed by Washington on Tehran, Zarif said that it is not a new thing, and I do not see that it will have new effects in the country. Rather, they want to bring the Iranian people to their knees.
The United States announced earlier today the imposition of a series of sanctions targeting, in particular, Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro and the Iranian Defense Ministry, as part of the hostile policies pursued by Washington against independent countries that do not follow its approach.
In response to a question about the nuclear agreement, Zarif said that the agreement is still alive, as the UN Security Council also confirmed that it is alive and America is the one that has become internationally isolated, indicating that the United States is the one who broke the nuclear agreement.
Regarding Washington's allegations of Iran's launching of cyber attacks, Zarif said: “This applies to America itself, which launched a blatant cyber attack on Iran to disrupt its extremely accurate nuclear devices in a move that risked the lives of thousands of people, and there are many articles and documents prepared on this matter.”
