The maintenance workshops of the Public Corporation for Drinking Water in Al-Hasakah Governorate have started the maintenance of 33 submersibles for the rural wells located in the water projects spread in a number of areas of the province, with the aim of securing water for the people there.
The Director of the Foundation, Eng. Mahmoud Al-Akla, stated to the SANA correspondent that the maintenance operations that are being carried out in cooperation with the United Nations Development Program aim to restart these wells that were subjected to technical failures and are distributed in the countryside of Hasaka, Qamishli, Tal Hamis and Tal Tamer, and to secure drinking water for the people in the villages and communities scattered in The mentioned regions.
Al-Akla pointed out that maintenance operations in the Alouk project feeding the city of Hasakah with water continues, as a number of electrical regulators have been installed this week in order to achieve reliability of current flow and increase the ability of pumping water.
It is noteworthy that the Foundation pumps an amount of water approximately 60 thousand cubic meters per day from the Alouk project to the city center of Al-Hasakah and the surrounding neighborhoods, and seeks to reach the pumping of 75 thousand cubic meters through the maintenance work it is currently carrying out in the project.
