The fear of Corona has led many to move to purchasing products online, and the field of the four species on Sukkot has not been left behind either.
The "Giving Lulav" project, one of the largest entities in the field of purchasing species on Sukkot, reports a huge jump in sales, which so far amount to more than a million shekels, double the amount they put in last year.
According to the project's staff, they are expected to end the sales season with a profit of one and a half million shekels.
The "Giving Lulav" project is a non-profit and non-profit social enterprise.
The volunteers sell the four species and donate the money to 80 different associations, for the buyer of the set to choose.
The orders will reach hundreds of distribution stations, at the home of volunteers who open their home for the venture and from there, according to orderly rules, which include the instructions of the Ministry of Health the orders can be collected.
On the website, you can also purchase a set for the needy, and the association takes care of transferring the four species to it.
Through "Giving a Lulav", about 1,600 sets were donated last year to the needy, which were distributed to hundreds of disabled people, immigrant studios, at-risk youth villages and more.
"In recent years, we have been trying on the one hand to sell the four species set at market prices and on the other hand after we have sold at a reasonable price to donate the funds to nonprofits," explained Azriel Dotan, one of the project's founders.
"We are recognizing a significant increase in sales this year. Every year we are experiencing an increase in purchases and this year the expectation is for a very high leap."
