A remembrance mass in homage to Jacques Chirac, who died just a year ago, will be celebrated on Friday September 22 at 6.15 p.m. in the Saint-Gervais church in Paris (4th arrondissement), announced to the family of the former president of the Republic.

This ceremony, which will take place almost a year to the day after the death of the former head of state, will be organized in compliance with health measures linked to the Covid-19 epidemic, it was specified.
Jacques Chirac, President of the Republic from 1995 to 2007, died in Paris on September 26, 2019 at the age of 86.
Since 1975, the services in the Saint-Gervais-Saint-Protais church have been celebrated by the monastic fraternities of Jerusalem, bringing together monks and nuns, who live the spirit of monastic solitude in the heart of large cities.
