For the conversion of the stables in the area of the Spielberg monastery, a separate committee is now to be founded to deal with the project.

- According to Mayor Norbert Riepl (CSU / DG), this will consist of ten to 15 members.
Members should come from the local council, here mostly from the monastery committee, and from the Friends' Association (FV) Klosterhof Spielberg.
The first joint meeting is planned for October.
This year they want to submit a funding application.
The project is subsidized with up to 80 percent, the municipality could receive 800,000 euros in grants for the project.
The funding comes from the “Inside instead of Outside” initiative of the Bavarian State Government, which has subsidized urban development projects since 2018 that revitalize the town center and eliminate vacancies within the town.
At the beginning of 2018, the development association presented the municipal council with a comprehensive concept of what could be created in the facility.
At the time, the ideas ranged from a café, village shop and inn to seminar rooms and guest rooms.
The former horse stable is to be converted.
One specific idea, according to Riepl when asked by the Tagblatt, was to accommodate a café there in the Bohemian cross vault.
The friends' association had already held a number of workshops in the past where interested citizens could get information and contribute.
The members of the committee will be named shortly.
