French President Emmanuel Macron and his Turkish counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdogan will speak by phone on Tuesday September 22 to discuss the tensions in the eastern Mediterranean, according to the Elysee Palace.

The interview, two days before a European summit devoted to the crisis in the Eastern Mediterranean, comes as Ankara announced that Turkey and Greece are ready to start talks on their differences.
