On 09/21/2020 at around 9 p.m., a fatal traffic accident occurred on State Road 2098 between Höpfling and Eisenärzt.
For reasons that were still unknown, a 23-year-old from Siegsdorf came off the road to the right in his car on the way to Eisenärzt and hit a tree.
After the collision with the tree, the vehicle hurled over the tracks of the Traunstein - Ruhpolding railway line.
Any help came too late for the young man, he died at the scene of the accident.
His vehicle was badly damaged in the collision.
To clarify the cause of the accident, the Traunstein public prosecutor ordered an expert opinion.
The vehicle and the body were secured.
The state road and railway line were closed for the accident recording.
