The fire continues to advance in the center of Córdoba, especially in the Punilla valley, with significant foci in towns such as

Villa Carlos Paz

and

La Cumbre

.

with his family, more precisely in

Villa Giardino

, where he has had a cabin complex for several years.

In the last hours, images have transcended where he is seen fighting hand to hand against the flames.

The drought and the wind in the area make the situation untamed, and the photographs are dramatic: the artist appears trying to keep the fire away from the property, with hoses and a pressure washer.

The outlook is bleak, no rains are announced and the firefighters are unable to cope despite their efforts.

Therefore, the advice to the residents of the place is to try to moisten the areas where the fire can spread, and Damián has been committed to that task for several days.

At the end of August, De Santo was already expressing concern about the advance of the fire in nearby towns such as Cosquín and Capilla del Monte.

"At night you go to sleep and obviously you are not aware of that, and in the early morning it is frightening and incredible to see the fire approach," he told

.

There he added, about the forest fires: "It was dramatic to know that there were six family houses that were completely set on fire and destroyed. Animals set on fire. We have seen horses and a large number and variety of pigeons set on fire," said the actor, shocked.

Damián settled with his family in this small tourist village about 15 years ago, seeking a change of life and working in an undertaking to which he dedicated all his energy.

One of his last jobs in Buenos Aires was last year in the leadership of Morfi (Telefe) but every weekend he returned to Villa Giardino to meet again with his wife Vanina and their two children Joaquín and Camila.
