The gasoline crisis is not the first, and it will not be the last .. In a country that is subjected to a Western economic war called siege and devastation, the Syrians' crises will continue and multiply as long as our energy reservoir and our wheat bread in the Syrian island is subject to an American occupation with the complicity of separatist militias.

Our battle is not over yet .. Rather, it, even if it settled a little on the military fronts, is still at its most intense on the front of economy and politics .. And to whom mentioned, the Syrians have been subjected to repeated crises at various times throughout the years of the war .. from the crisis of electricity and bread to gas, diesel and petrol. Have we forgotten that?

It is true that the siege is not the only one responsible for our crises. Corruption, which has many aspects of smuggling, monopoly and exploitation, is a partner in crime, or a partner in the war for the livelihood of the Syrians.

We all remember, or should be remembered, that, since the first years of the war, we have been subjected to several crises related to the basic needs of the citizen. In February 2013, the Syrians suffered from a stifling bread crisis, and the queues on the ovens lasted for nearly a month. And, in April 2019, we lived through a fuel crisis that lasted nearly a month due to the lack of supplies that account for more than three-quarters of domestic consumption, which amounted to 140,000 barrels per day, and were exceeded by some government measures.

Electricity, also, which relies in the majority of its production on fuel and gas, has also been subjected to long interruptions and subject to harsh rationing periods as a result of the blockade and damage to the network, not to mention the repeated attacks and attacks on gas stations and refineries via drones over the past years.

The reminder of war does not mean absolving the official from his responsibilities or evading responsibility in any location, but rather means that we deal with our situation from this perspective that requires the mobilization of energies on various fronts to avoid crises, and if we are not able to reduce its severity and consequences with proactive measures that help to overcome it with the least difficulties and damages.

There is no doubt that if the intentions are true and the initiatives taken, Syria can, with its agricultural and economic capabilities, exceed what is planned on the economic level, and it can fail the blockade on its own.
