“Obviously we are encountering organizational difficulties,”
he admits.
Gathered to discuss the future of their movement, much in pain since the bitter failure of municipal and partial legislative elections,
"some have chosen to withdraw from the governing bodies,
" he said without naming the former number two Pierre Person,
but remain members of LREM ”
.
He underlines that LREM is no exception to the rule: "
It is always particular when you are the presidential movement (...)
which must find its place in terms of ideas and project construction.

, he ambitions.
As if to be convinced of it, the deputy ensures that the marchers remain
“welded and united”
despite everything, hammering that
“construction is unity”.
A new pair
However, does he recognize a divide between the policy of the executive branch rather anchored to the right, and a movement, in its majority rather to the left?
"When we created La République en Marche, it was to overcome these cleavages,"
recalls Saint-Martin, who maintains that this cleavage is not an obstacle.
Supporting example, he indicates that the new pair of numbers two of the party is made up of a personality from the right, Marie Guévenoux, and an issue from the left, Jean-Marc Borello.
"This is the whole construction of our movement and why it worked",
insists Saint-Martin, certain that
"if we go back to making chapels, (...) we have it all wrong."

As a call to the allied forces,
"we must remain united around the presidential majority, in the broad sense",
repeats the elected LREM.
And the 30-something added with optimism:
"We will welcome more, other people will join us."
If it is too early to move forward on a regional mapping, he says, it is the Renaissance model that will have to be applied,
"the alliance of all the progressives who wish to bring together a project of 'alternation for the regional and continuity with regard to the presidential election'.
