One year after the fire that ravaged the Seveso-classified Lubrizol factory and the neighboring warehouses of Normandie Logistique in Rouen, the Lubrizol Unitary Collective launched a call for demonstrations on Saturday, September 26.
The meeting is given at 1:30 p.m. in front of the Lubrizol site, before a stroll to the Rouen courthouse and a passage in front of the prefecture.
Gatherings will also be organized in other French cities.

The event aims to demand better prevention of industrial risks.

, Paul Poulain, specialist in industrial risks, details the demands: "
[We want] workers' and popular knowledge on work and technological dangers, to prevent the reduction of the regulations which would allow the establishment under conditions unacceptable new industrial sites [...], act for the substitution of hazardous industrial activities that can be replaced immediately, and reduce and monitor those which we cannot do without in the first place
”.
He adds: "
Following Lubrizol, we finally got interested in the subject but Lubrizol is only one of the 1098 incidents that took place in 2019. Lubrizol is a serious incident but among 1098

This event will mark the final clap of a week of action and mobilization.
