Theatrical phenomena among peoples in general and Arabs in particular were the focus of this month's theatrical affairs event, which is hosted by the Arab Cultural Center Theater in the city of Sweida, accompanied by scenic shows and relevant theatrical experiences.
The event included the presentation of a film material that monitored theatrical phenomena in general, both Arabic and non-Arab, such as the imagination of the shadow, the storyteller, the condolence theaters, the rug and the ring in Morocco, in addition to a theatrical scene entitled The Faragah Fund written by Mansour Heneidy, acting and directed by the artist Maan Doueir, followed by an open dialogue about these phenomena in addition to the presentation of several short film materials. It detects theatrical forms in five Asian countries, including India and China.
The event also shed light, within the paragraph of theatrical experiments, on the experience of the artist, Benjamin Hamidan, as an actor and director, who is considered one of the most important dramatists in Suwayda. .
Heneidy, the supervisor of the event and the author of the play scene "The Farajah Fund", explained in a statement to SANA's correspondent that "Theatrical Affairs" is a new event that is held monthly with the participation of a group of specialists, writers, critics, directors, artists and technicians with the aim of contributing to the spread of theatrical culture and shedding light on many important experiences where it is covered Each time one of the theatrical issues as a main focus in addition to some topics related to the father of arts within a new interactive dialogue formula that goes beyond the known traditional formulas.
The "Theatrical Affairs" event, which began last July, at the Sweida Cultural Theater, monitored, in its launch, the reality of the theatrical movement in the governorate.
