He swears his country to cohesion.

British Prime Minister Boris Johnson is left with nothing else in the current situation.

The United Kingdom has more corona deaths than any other country in Europe.

Now Johnson has announced stricter protective measures.

Boris Johnson, Prime Minister of Great Britain:

"This is by no means a return to the full March lockdown. We are not issuing general instructions to stay home. We will keep schools and universities open because nothing is more important than our education, health and well-being young people. We will keep businesses open, but we have to act to fight the disease. "

Office workers should work from home again, if possible, the mask requirement is tightened.

As of Monday, only 15 people are allowed to come together at meetings, with the exception of funerals.

In restaurants, the British will have to be content with table service - until 10 p.m., when pubs and restaurants close.

In the past few days, the UK recorded 3,500 to 4,000 corona infections per day.

Leading medical professionals had recently warned that the country could record 50,000 cases per day by mid-October and lose control of the corona situation.

Johnson strongly urges compliance with the new rules.

Boris Johnson, Prime Minister of Great Britain:

"We will make additional resources available to the police and local authorities: a greater police presence on our streets and the possibility of calling in military assistance to relieve the police."

According to Johnson, the British could face further measures if the spread of the virus is not contained.

Great Britain must be prepared for the fact that the new rules could still apply for a while - possibly in six months.
