Rudelzhausen / Tegernbach – The outdoor pool in Tegernbach is one of the attractions in the community of Rudelzhausen.
But in order for it to remain an attraction, it must be renovated.
The municipal council decided on the project on Tuesday evening.
Previously, the search for potential savings had struck gold.
The concept originally presented by the Kienlein engineering office in Buch am Erlbach would have resulted in gross costs of 1.845 million euros.
But then everything would have been there - including conversions for the changing rooms, the till and the kiosk.
The planner, Mayor Michael Krumbucher and some local councilors met on August 24th.
The planning concept was discussed and, above all, potential savings were worked out.
If the renovation concept continues to make sense, these are located in the changing and sanitary areas, it was found.
Conversions, the construction of a barrier-free toilet, the renovation of the changing rooms and adjustments to the kiosk could be canceled.
All that remains is the renovation of the multi-purpose pool, the new construction of the children's pool, adjustments to the processing technology and a supplementary structure for the new processing plant and an optimized, regenerative heating operation.
With this variant, one would have saved around 300,000 euros in gross costs, the estimated costs for the slightly slimmed-down version are 1.552 million euros.
After Krumbucher presented these facts and the new cost estimate, there was not a single word in the local council.
The slogan “If you keep silent, you agree”, because the renovation concept in its new form was unanimously approved.
Now the municipality has to obtain offers from at least three planning offices in order to take the next step towards redevelopment.

Their unanimous yes also facilitated the prospect of state subsidies for the municipal councils.
As Krumbucher said, government funding is basically possible.
However, at this point in time, neither the amount of funding nor a percentage can be specified.
It is important, however, that not converting the sanitary and changing areas is not detrimental to funding.
