Again we are in quarantine, can not leave the house, and we have unlimited time with the kids.

How do we stay sane?

What do you do to not go crazy?

The time when we are all under closure, are most of the day with the kids at home, is difficult.

Boredom sometimes brings our children and him to great frustration.

Everyone has things that drive us crazy and take us out of their serenity.

Stress at work, family quarrels, problems with children and more.

But in Tractate Eruvin Daf Ma, sages say that there are three things that move a person over his mind and the mind of Kono - that is, make him go so crazy that he forgets both himself and Gd, God forbid.

What are these things?

One - foreigners, the other - evil spirit, the third - the grammar of poverty.

Why do you need to know this?

Sages ask, and respond - to ask for mercy on them. Pray in advance that we will not reach such a situation, and if you see someone who has reached him - to pray and ask for mercy from Gd to help him get out of it.

Rabbi Chaim David Kowalski, presenter of the

digital gemara

, explained what these things mean today?

"Aliens," meaning people who control and oppress man.

At the time of the Gemara these were Gentiles.

Many of us are familiar with situations in which we find ourselves faced with an opaque bureaucratic system, inconsiderate officials, lawsuits and fines and unreasonable demands.

Be human.

It is important to know this feeling, not only to pray that we do not reach it - but to be careful not to give such a feeling to others.

If we are officials who provide service to people - care must be taken not to become indifferent and opaque.

Be kind to the people in front of us, be really caring towards them, and try to help them as much as possible.

The second cause is an evil spirit, or madness.

In our generation, one of the most common mental disorders is depression.

Sometimes a person can sink into depression, feel like everything is black and hopeless God forbid.

It is important to pay attention to this, especially if we know of someone who has been through a severe crisis - lost a relative, fired from his job, etc. - to look after him, pay attention to what is happening to him.

The third factor is the grammar of poverty.

A person whose financial situation is reaching a low point can also go crazy over it.

And what can we do?

Here, too, things are clear: if we hear about people around us who have come to such a situation, that they need financial help - to support them, to help them.

Do not leave them alone.

There are many charities and charities today that can be donated to the needy, and save them financially and mentally.

And he who has himself reached such a state - should strengthen his faith and confidence, believe that this is an experience he must endure, and not fall into despair.

The very belief in God, and the confidence that the salvation of God is in the blink of an eye, help a person to maintain hope and optimism even when everything seems black - and thereby keep his sanity, and get out of the crisis instead of going insane.
