The Court of Auditors urges the public service to better manage its contract workers

Representing nearly one in five agents, the number of non-tenured has increased three times faster since 2010 than that of civil servants.

According to the report of the Court of Auditors published on Tuesday, more than a million contract workers now occupy positions in the three public functions (State, hospital and territorial) and represent nearly one in five jobs, or 18.4% of workforce.

Between 2010 and 2017, their number grew three times faster than that of incumbents.
