The authorities of the Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan's regime issued arrest warrants for 24 people under the pretext of their links to the organization of the preacher Fethullah Gülen, whom this regime accuses of being behind the 2016 coup attempt.

The Anadolu Agency, speaking on behalf of the Turkish regime, quoted security sources as saying that "the police carried out raids and arrests in 21 cities of Balikesir province, northwestern Turkey, against wanted persons for communicating with members of the organization over the phone."

Last Saturday, the judicial authorities of the Turkish regime decided to extend the detention of at least 94 former Turkish soldiers who were detained earlier under the pretext of suspected links to the Gulen organization.

Since the coup attempt, the Turkish regime authorities have waged a severe crackdown on Erdogan's opponents and opponents, as tens of thousands of people have been arrested and dismissed in various civil and military institutions in the country.
