Children, pensioners, young families: everyone can benefit from the offers of the Neighborhood Aid Citizens for Citizens.

Volunteers have been involved in the association for 30 years, which offers help for a small fee in eleven different departments.

We present all facets of the association in loose order.

Today: the leisure exchange.

Wolfratshausen - in the evening to the theater, in good weather out into nature and at the weekend to Verona: If you are a member of the leisure exchange of the neighborhood help citizens for citizens, you can't really get bored.

Stefanie Gollmeier organizes small and large highlights in the calendar of around 80 members of the Freizeitbörse throughout the year.

Most of the visitors are young at heart seniors.

“Some have just retired and still have the energy and desire to do something,” says Gollmeier.

For some, the varied leisure program turns out to be a bubbling fountain of youth: “A woman who regularly takes part in our activities is about to turn 90 - and is in top shape.

Mentally and physically, ”reports the 49-year-old.

For fitness, there are day tours to the Chiemsee Islands, to Altötting or Burghausen with long walks and many sights.

Those who want to keep mentally fit can visit theater performances, museums, readings or take the tram through Munich and marvel at the architecture in the districts.

“We try to offer something special for every taste,” says Gollmeier.

A look at the program shows that this goal has been achieved.

For the 49-year-old, who works in a travel agency, it is particularly nice when participants come up to her with an idea.

An art historian has organized several guided tours, and a member of the Alpine Club leads groups from citizens for citizens along scenic hiking trails.

Many friendships have already developed through joint ventures

Through the joint ventures, many friendships have developed among the members in recent years.

“When you are out and about together like this on a regular basis, you just get to know each other.” Making contacts is also the second major goal pursued with the leisure exchange.

“Many men and women who join us still have a lot of interests and would like to discover new, beautiful corners,” says Gollmeier.

But very few people want to do something alone.

The members of the citizen-for-citizen groups, which usually consist of ten to 20 participants, are united by the desire to do something beautiful or instructive with their free time.

Gollmeier himself also learns “time and again to get to know beautiful places and add something to almost every event” through volunteering.

And all of that in company, which makes it even more beautiful.

But the neighborhood help association citizens for citizens has even more to offer: Thanks to Ingrid and Peter Schöbel, the elderly in Wolfratshausen don't have to suffer from loneliness.

The couple organizes the senior citizens' meeting.
